Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
I don’t know about you, but I love having the iPhone and of course that means that I love having Siri available to answer all of my questions, give me directions and provide me with all sorts of useless and fun information. For those who have been in hiding with the Geico caveman under a rock for a few years or you have been using an android phone, Siri, is the iPhone’s voice activated assistant to you. She can answer questions, set appointments, make calls, give you directions, etc…In fact, Siri has gotten so popular that when posed with a question or needing an answer for something, you can often hear someone saying, ‘Ask Siri, she will know!’. She, or he (if you prefer the male voice), has become the go to for answers. But, as you know, Siri can only go so far and she doesn’t actually have the answer for everything. I found that out when I asked her the other day, ‘Siri, what do you think about Jesus?’ and she told me, ‘I think, therefore I am, but lets not put Descartes before the horse.’ HAHA! I loved it, but Of course, there is a little play on words as this is a quote from Descartes, who was a very well known french philosopher, and who’s philosophy would not agree with this simple, yet potent verse that reminds us to always trust the Lord, the creator of the universe in everything you do. But this verse doesn’t stop there, because we should also make sure we ask God what He thinks about everything that is happening in our lives! Our common statement should be, ‘Ask God, He will know the answer!’. So keep trusting Him and going to Him for everything. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) It may be a simple verse to remember and to quote, but applying it in our lives on a daily basis, now that could be the tougher part, but that would be the key! Trust Him and Ask Him!
