“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17
Have you ever heard the phrase ‘Blossom where you’re planted’? It’s that reminder that we should make the most of our position or place in life no matter what is happening or where it’s happening so that we blossom or bear some fruit no matter the place we find ourselves. Paul encourages us and reminds us in this verse that what ever we do, we do it for the Lord, knowing that in all things we are representing Him. But, sometimes, this can be difficult because we are not so happy in the place that God has planted us. We do not end up. doing our best for His name and fame. We may not like our job, maybe it’s a new neighborhood, problems with our health, marriage issues…those things and other issues can tend to get our focus off of representing Jesus and doing everything for His name and fame. They can cause us to go through life without a thankful heart and miss out on blossoming where we are planted. When we are able to get past those obstacles and trust God no matter where He has planted us, then we will do all for Him and in His name. That’s when we end up blossoming where we planted.
